What I am Here for?

Ever ask yourself that question?  What on earth am I here for?   I've heard numerous people saying that over the years and in my experience being a pastor's wife.  You are here for a purpose, and that purpose is to worship your creator.  He made man so that He could have someone to communicate with.  I was made to worship you........  a song that I sing at our church says it all.  To worship I live, to worship you I live, I live to worship you.   From the rising of the sun, to the setting of the same........I live to worship you.

You were created for such a time as this to change the world!!   People need to hear the news of the gospel, that there is an answer to life's problems.  It's not found in the government, in alcohol, drugs, sex, hollywood, etc.   The answer is found in the Light of the World.  The Great I am, the prince of peace, the Rose of Sharon, and the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.  Whew!!!!   I believe I could preach that!  The Bible tells us that God's word is alive.  There are truths in God's word that will direct you and lead you into understanding why you were created!   Psalms 139:14-16 is one of my favorite passages of scripture which says,  I praise you because I am wonderfully and fearfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.  My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.  When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.  All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.   See, there's your answer, you have a purpose and a destiny because before you were even born!!!!   The God of creation knew who you were and knew your name!!!  That is an awesome thought and I'm so glad that His truth has been iluminated in my spirit and in yours as you read this blog.
So take joy in knowing that it's no mistake that you were born because God had you in mind!!  Peace and blessings..............Keep lifting up the name of Jesus and giving Him praise.

Don't give up

Life has it shares of ups and downs, highs and lows. We must remain stedfast through every trial that we face. This year has been a challenge, but I believe it has been a testing of my faith in God and my reliance upon Him. He is faithful no matter what. Man may fail us and let us down and even bring much discouragement to our spirits. But God......... He is ever constant, always seeing the best in us no matter if we fall or make silly little mistakes. I've been through the criticism of people, man's opinions, and I've came to realize that it doesn't matter if man is not pleased by what I do, I know that My God will always see me as blessed. God sees the value in you as a person, He sees your potential and not your position. He sees your victories and not your defeats. He lifts you up instead of looking down on you. So no matter what you go through, always know that the battle is not yours, but it's the Lords. He wins every battle and wins it with victory! Know that God values you and esteems you highly favored no matter what others may think!

Psalms 91

Psalms 91:1-2 ~ He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge, my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I (confidently) trust!
I remember reading this passage to my Mother as she lay on her death bed, getting ready to enter into the gates of Heaven to see her heavenly Father. She had battled colon cancer for almost 3 years. I somehow knew that she heard every word that I was reading to her, and she knew that very soon she would be in His presence. I felt in reading it to her, that it would let her know that she didn't have to be afraid because God was right there with His arms open wide ready to welcome her to Heaven.
I guess Psalm 91 has to be my favorite chapter in the whole Bible. It lets us know that we do not have to be afraid, because God covers us with His wings, and under those wings we find safety. You are hearing alot today about the economy, and it almost makes you not want to turn on the TV. As long as the news reports on it and you keep listening to it, it will depress you, stress you and fill you with fear and worry. I'm not saying that the news is bad, I'm just saying that we still have to put our confidence in the Lord. Psalm 91:10 says, There shall no evil befall you, nor any plaque come near your tent, or dwelling place. 11: For He shall give His angels charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways(of obedience and service). I don't know about you, but that makes me feel pretty secure in knowing that the God I serve has got my back! Wall street may have collapsed, but God has the power to meet everyone of our needs, if we only trust Him! I don't have to be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow( the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day~ vs.5. We have so much to rejoice and praise about today. Our God is a mighty God. He is awesome in all His ways. I love this chapter because it lets me have security in knowing also that whatever comes my way, God has my protection. He is my built in security system.
You can have confidence in Jesus Christ today. Get in the secret place with God. Dwell with Him. Whatever may come your way, you can know that He is your Fortress, He is the glory and the lifter of your head. He has commanded His angels to keep watch over you day and night. Don't let fear and worry come upon you, get the mind of Christ. The enemy loves to grip the minds of Christians, that is his greatest trap. He knows that if he can get you to think in your mind(soul) that you are a weakling and a failure, then he has won. Don't let him! The Bible says to "Resist the devil and he will flee from you" he has to! You have the authority to speak the word with boldness. Take the time to read Psalm 91 today. It will strengthen you and encourage you. I love to encourage others by sharing what the word of God says concerning their circumstances. The word of God always has a solution to every problem that the world has.
